Bradley, this was so very timely for my own personal reflection in nature around pains and rage sparked from a recent tragedy involving a man and a wolf. Thank you for tempering these fires with the cool waters of reflection.
Thanks for this comment. I felt very angry when I learned about that incident. And I, of course, want to see stronger protections for wolves. I don't know what the appropriate response to a situation like that is, but I know that however we punish this individual, the hatred of wolves and the fear of the wild will persist without large cultural shifts.
so many thoughts -- thank you for writing and sharing. I'm reminded of the struggle to create a balanced understanding of interweaving alongside differentiation. How much of the intense need to overprotect the pitied other (i.e. the constructed perception of the helpless or powerless non-human animal, over whom humans have power or responsibility) is a projection of a human need to know that protection of vulnerability is possible, that one's own childlike need to be pitied and shielded can instead be enacted on some other, even if it necessitates total disregard for that other's actual needs and agency?
I feel so lucky to find this, I found it so insightful! I’m working on a story involving werewolves and it inspired me to explore concepts I haven’t touched yet in my process.

This is so insightful.
Superb. This use of your many gifts is appreciated, valuable, generative. Please post about neo-animism as a path of integration —
I definitely hope to write about why my thoughts/feelings have shifted towards animism as a path of integration! Hopefully soon.
